Senior Quantity Surveyor
Salary up to £60,000 + Car/Allowance + 25 Days Holiday
I am working with a Main Contractor that specialise in residential projects that are looking to add an experienced Quantity Surveyor to the team.
You will be office based, and will be tasked with mentoring Junior Surveyors and helping develop the business commercially.
My client work with a number of well regarded developers and act as principle contractor on some beautiful residential sites, they are now looking to expand the business and want to win work in other sectors, so require an experienced QS to help assist with this growth.
Responsibilities will include, but may not be limited too;
Full responsibility for own projects
Exercise full cost control of projects
Ensure financial recovery of contractual entitlements
Analysis, evaluation and negotiation of quotations/tenders from sub-contractors ensuring best value
Prepare and manage detailed project budgets
Collation of all reconciliation of costs and reporting of monthly cost reports
Mentoring Junior Quantity Surveyors
Assisting the Managing Director with driving forward the business
RICS or MCIOB Accredited (preferable)
HNC/HND or Degree qualified in a Construction related subject
Experience across a range of sectors including residential, commercial, education & heritage
Excellent communication skills demonstrating effectiveness in a negotiation environment
Sound knowledge of JCT Contracts and other forms.
Strong IT skills
Good working knowledge of MS Office package (Word, Excel, Outlook).
